They started foreign languages in 1st grade and Latin in 8th grade. Their SATS were excellent and went onto top colleges (and the Navy). There is no reason why public schools can't deliver the education my children received for the huge amount of funds the public schools receive. Though I am a private, boarding school graduate and received my BA and JD from Columbia, I am not considered educated enough to teach at a public school. This makes no sense."

Increasing taxes would accelerate the loss of jobs across all industries. Wall Street moves to Stamford and Greenwich (or Charlotte, NC) as did so many industrial corporations between 1968 and 1985? NYS can not print money as Uncle Sam can and must be competitive with numerous states, London, etc. Thanks for the great work."
