New Yorkers for Growth Endorses Assemblyman George Amedore

NEW YORK - New Yorkers for Growth, a political action committee dedicated to fiscal responsibility and economic growth, today announced its endorsement of Assemblyman George Amedore for reelection.

PAC spokeswoman Carla Kerr said, "Coming from the private-sector, George Amedore understands the struggles that small businesses face and how policies handed down from the state can affect their bottom line. We feel that the state Legislature needs more members with this type of practical background, and that the Assembly would continue to benefit from George's experience."

Mr. Amedore said, "I am pleased that New Yorkers for Growth has recognized my commitment to lowering taxes, cutting wasteful spending and boosting the economy. Fiscal responsibility has been one of my top priorities, and it will remain so as long as I serve as an elected official."

George Amedore was first elected to the Assembly from the 105th district in July of 2007. He is the Vice President of Amedore Homes, a locally owned and operated second-generation family business. In early 2007, he led Amedore Homes in donating their time and expertise to building a home for a special family chosen by the ABC television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Amedore Homes also helped to pay off the family's mortgage.

New Yorkers for Growth is a political action committee, registered with the New York State Board of Elections, to make financial contributions to candidates who are truly committed to reform and fiscal responsibility.
