New Yorkers for Growth Endorses Bobby Cantwell for Assembly in the 118th District

NEW YORK - New Yorkers for Growth, a political action committee dedicated to fiscal responsibility and economic growth, today announced its endorsement of Bobby Cantwell for Assembly in the 118th District.

Carla Kerr, a founding director of New Yorkers for Growth, said, "Bobby Cantwell understands that property tax increases are outpacing homeowners' ability to pay and that a poor business climate is preventing Northern New York from reaching its full potential. As a lifelong resident of the area, Bobby relates to the issues and daily struggles faced by the families of the 118th Assembly District."

Mr. Cantwell said, "I am honored to have the endorsement of New Yorkers for Growth and thank that organization for recognizing my commitment to addressing the North Country's most pressing issues. In the Assembly, I will make property tax relief and fiscal responsibility the centerpiece of my agenda and work to bring about the reform we need to retain and attract good paying jobs locally."

Bobby Cantwell is the general manager of Northeast Rental & Sales in Watertown and a councilman in the Town of Clayton, where he was raised. He earned an associate's degree in business administration from SUNY Canton. His local government experience includes the Clayton Town Council and the Parish Village Board where he has served on committees such as the Clayton Local Waterfront Revitalization Program and the Oswego County Water Facilitation Committee. Cantwell lives in Clayton with his wife, Kelly, and their two daughters, Ivey, 9, and Lydia, 6.

New Yorkers for Growth is a political action committee, registered with the New York State Board of Elections, to make financial contributions to candidates who are truly committed to reform and fiscal responsibility.
