NEW YORK - New Yorkers for Growth, a political action committee dedicated to fiscal responsibility and economic growth, today announced its endorsement of Rob Biagi for State Assembly in the 91st District which includes part of Westchester County.
Carla Kerr, a founding director of New Yorkers for Growth, said, "It was a very easy decision for us to endorse Rob given the central theme of his campaign - reducing property taxes. We're also impressed that he has embraced the right approach, supporting a cap on local school taxes and opposing unfunded mandates on school districts and local governments."
Mr. Biagi said, "I am proud to have the endorsement of New Yorkers for Growth, which has become a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility and property tax relief. As an Assemblyman, I will join them in the fight against excessive spending to appease Albany special interests, and advocate for policies that best serve the interest of taxpayers."
Rob Biagi graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1994 and earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1997. From his graduation until 2000, Rob worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bronx DA's office, prosecuting all manners of felony and misdemeanor crimes, spending his last year in that office in the Narcotics Division. In 2001, Rob joined the law firm of Ohrenstein and Brown and is currently an attorney with The Hartford Insurance Company.
New Yorkers for Growth is a political action committee, registered with the New York State Board of Elections, to make financial contributions to candidates who are truly committed to reform and fiscal responsibility.
