NEW YORK - New Yorkers for Growth, a political action committee dedicated to fiscal responsibility and economic growth, today announced its endorsement of Mike Ranzenhofer in the 61st District which includes Genesee County and part of Erie County.
Carla Kerr, a founding director of New Yorkers for Growth, said, "Mike clearly supports the same issues that we do: a cap on property taxes, reduced state spending, and reducing state taxes. He also has a record to back up his message - as an Erie County legislator he's never voted for a tax increase."
"My plan as State Senator is to provide much-needed property tax relief, to cut state income tax by 10% for middle class taxpayers, and to cut state spending 15% across the board," said Ranzenhofer in accepting the endorsement. "It is vitally important to our state's economy that we act now and end the destructive cycle of wasteful spending and increasing debt that drives up the cost of living and doing business in our state."
Ranzenhofer has been running a hard-fought campaign in Western New York to replace retiring Senator Mary Lou Rath against former boxer and first time candidate Joe Mesi. Ranzenhofer has been endorsed by the Republican, Conservative and Independence parties.
New Yorkers for Growth is a political action committee, registered with the New York State Board of Elections, to make financial contributions to candidates who are truly committed to reform and fiscal responsibility.
